How to keep your laptop battery healthy?
Battery is one of the useful components of your laptop. The overall health and life depends upon your laptop battery. The following points you should keep in mind to maintain better health of your battery.
1. Don't keep your laptop plugged in always: You should not keep your laptop plugged in always, this will never put load on your laptop battery. So your battery won't get used optimally and your battery life will deduce with time. If you are not having huge workload like gaming, video rendering or computing then you should not keep your laptop plugged in.
2. Don't put huge load on your battery: You should keep your laptop plugged in if you require more power than your battery can provide. For an example while you play AAA games like GTA V or RDR 2, your laptop's CPU and GPU has huge workload thus they require more power hence you should plug in your laptop. If your battery could not provide enough power then you will know that by the performance of your laptop.
3. Discharge your battery often: To increase battery life, a very good way is to use it frequently. It is very important to discharge your battery at least once in a week for a long life of your battery. Maybe you use your laptop for huge workload so you have to keep it plugged in while using it, but doing so would damage your battery over time. I recommend you to watch some youtube videos or some movies on your laptop battery. This is a great way to reduce your battery without putting workload on it.
4. Set maximum charging limit: Nowadays there are lot of laptop, specially gaming laptop where you can set the maximum charging limit for your battery. So if you set it to 60 percent then whenever you plug in your laptop it will only charge upto 60 percent and then use the external power provided by your power source to run itself. Setting charging limit improves your battery life as by doing so your battery becomes more frequently charged and discharged.
