Steps you should follow to build your own pc

Follow these steps to build your own pc:

A lot of people finds it difficult to build a pc on their own, but I assure you

that after you pick your components correctly it could be quite exciting and

enjoyable.

Step 1:-

 Purpose of your pc:

You should not skip this step if you wish to utilize your money. I encourage you to follow this step as their is always an option to upgrade. It is very important to know the work for what your pc would be used most. Your choice of components should depend on it. If you wish to use your pc for video editing then you should prefer higher ram and a better CPU. If you wish to game in your pc then you must focus on a better GPU. Click here to know what component you should focus for the purpose of your pc. Now you can proceed to next step.

Step 2:-

 Gather your tools:

You will need a workbench and a screw box so that you can manage all screws. You also require screw driver to disassemble and assemble different components. Never forget to get thermal paste. Cable ties are very handy when it comes to cable management so grab some of those and proceed to the next step.

Step 3:-

 Choose your pc components:

To build a pc some components are necessary and some are optional. The necessary components are-

1. Case

2. Motherboard

3. CPU (Central Processing Unit)

4. RAM (Random Access Memory)

5. CPU Cooler

6. PSU (Power Supply Unit)

7. Storage- HDD (Hard Disk Drive) or SSD (Solid State Drive)

For Water cooled custom pc:

You will need to replace CPU Cooler with Cooling block and you will need Water pump and Pipes too.

The optional components are-

1. GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)

2. GPU Stand

3. Capture Card

4. CD (Compact Disk) Reader

The Peripherals are-

1. Mouse

2. Keyboard

3. Monitor

4. Microphone

        5. Speaker

6. Headphone

It is very important to check if your components are compatible with each other. Click here to learn how to pick your components, or you can check your pc parts compatibility on pcpartpicker. Now you've successfully picked your components, proceed to next step.

Step 4:-

 Build your pc:

Now that you received your parts, its time to build. First pull out the motherboard from box and put it on the box, then read the motherboard manual carefully. If you do so you might not need to read rest of this step. Now carefully install the CPU, make sure that you do not damage any CPU pins during this process. If you have M.2 SSD then you should consider directly installing M.2 SSD on your motherboard and don't forget about heatsink. Now to install the PSU remove the PSU bracket (if your case have one) from the bottom of your case and place the PSU from the side and tighten the PSU. Now open the case and carefully mount the motherboard inside the case. Now don't tight any of the screw all the way, that could damage the motherboard. First place the screws and slowly tight them so that the stress is distributed all over. Now install the ram on the ram socket. Now its time to install the cooler. Apply thermal paste on the CPU if your cooler doesn't have pre-applied thermal paste. Now place the cooler on the CPU then tighten the screws one by one such that no part of the CPU encounters excess pressure, if you applied thermal paste wrong then the paste will spread outside the CPU socket. Now if you successfully installed, its time to install HDD, SSD and CD Reader. They all Follow the same procedure. Your case will have some bracket to keep your SSD's and HDD's but all case does not have dedicated CD reader front cutout. So you need to choose your case carefully for that purpose. You just need to open the bracket and mount your SSD or HDD and just close the bracket. GPU and Capture card follows the same procedure to install. First unlock the Pcie-slot clip if you have one, then remove the Pcie-slots and place your card and tighten the screws. Now connect all the components to the PSU and use those cable ties to manage the cables. Close the case and connect all the peripherals. Connect the display to the FPU if you installed one. Now proceed to the next step.

Step 5:-

 Booting and OS installation:

After building pc and connecting peripherals turn on your pc by pressing power button on the front panel of your CPU Case. If you Did everything correctly your display should show your motherboard manufacturer name and it will tell you to press a button to go to bios menu, You need to be quick though this screen won't last for long. Click here to know what to do if your system does not boot up. If your system runs correctly then it is time to choose your operating system. (perma) After you chose your OS you can buy a licensed cd or you can download it directly and store in a pen-drive or flash drive. Now insert the cd or the pen-drive where your OS installation data is stored and turn on your pc. Now quickly press the desired button to go to bios menu. There you can select the storage from where you wish to install your OS. Now your system will restart and automatically start installing your OS. Follow the guide and choose the storage where you want to install your OS. It is recommended to install OS in ssd (preferable m.2 ssd) so that you get fastest loading speed out of your system. In case you can't figure out which one is your ssd, I recommend turning on the pc with only the ssd where you want to install your os. Continue following the guide.

So congratulations You have successfully built your own pc and thank you for reading this much. If you think I missed something to cover here then please leave a comment.
