Choose your pc components on your own

Here's how you can choose your pc components:

Before choosing your components make sure what is the purpose of your pc, that is what type of work your pc will be used for.

Your Pc components are to be chosen such that they are compatible with each other.

Choosing CPU Case:-

    Things to consider:

       1.Form Factor:-

CPU Cases are available in different different form factor such as ATX, Mini-ATX, Micro-ATX, E-ATX(Extended ATX). This form factor represents the maximum size of your motherboard that your Case can support. You can check motherboard details to know it's form factor. If you are not sure which form factor to choose then you can go for ATX as most of the motherboard comes as ATX form factor other than that it can support any other form factor except E-ATX. It is always advised to check your motherboard form factor before choosing CPU Case.

       2.Number of Pcie-Slots:-

You should not consider the number of Pcie-slots if and only if you are sure that you are not going to upgrade to a multi-GPU system. Nowadays GPU's have become huge. For example, Nvidia RTX 3090 requires at lease 3 Pcie-slot. So if you want to game on your pc you might choose a Case which have higher Pcie-slots.

       3.Dimensions of your Case:-

You should consider the length of your case to make sure that the GPU and PSU you chose for your Pc, fits into your Case. Nowadays with bigger size of GPU's you might need an E-ATX Case for your GPU to fit into your case.

       4. Optical Disk Drive front panel:-

If you are looking for having a Optical Disk drive then make sure your case has an opening for that.

       5. Case fans:-

Many case comes with case fans, if you are having a tight budget or if you want to save some money on other components then you should consider to choose a case which comes with case fans. That might not assure the quality of those fans.

Choosing motherboard:-

If you are a beginner you might not know to identify different different components of your motherboard. To get insights of the motherboard just search for any motherboard manual, you will find images and guide to better understand your motherboard components.

    Things to consider:

        1.Form Factor:-

You should carefully choose your form factor so that your motherboard fits into the case you prepared it for. You can go with Micro-ATX, Mini-ATX, ATX, E-ATX any of these.

        2.CPU Socket:-

When you choose your motherboard, first know what type of socket does it have. This will determine which CPU's are compatible with this motherboard. There are two types of CPU socket, which are LGA( Land Grid Array ) and PGA( Pins Grid Array). Intel CPU's generally use LGA type socket.

        3.Maximum RAM Supported and speed:-

You should consider this if you wish to upgrade your system in future. You might need more ram if you do video rendering or animation rendering. Ram speed will be of great value for gaming and overall health of your system. Also make sure that your ram socket is compatible with the ram you chose for your pc. Latest type socket is now DDR5.

        4.Number and generation of Pcie-slot:-

If you wish to have multi-GPU (SLI or Crossfire), you should go for the motherboard which has at least two identical Pcie-slot. Having higher gen expansion slot provides faster speed.

        5.M.2 Slots:-

If you desired for a faster loading experience, you should definitely choose a motherboard which has at least one M.2 Slot. If that slot is m.2 nvme slot then its the best you could have. Though you need to know that sometimes M.2 slots shares performance with Pcie-slot so you might not be able to fully utilize both your M.2 and Pcie-slot.

        6.I/O Ports:-

It is the portion of your mother board where you connect your peripherals. You should know how many USB ports are there in your motherboard and their  generations too so that you could know how many pen-drive you can connect to your motherboard at most. The generation of the ports will determine which port is the fastest. You might wanna have an  RJ-45 port if you want an wired network for your pc.

        7.Sata Ports:-

Always look for the number of sata ports available on your motherboard. The more sata ports you have, the more disk drive you can install on your pc. If you wish to have a optical disk drive (CD- reader) too then you have to leave one of the ports for that purpose.
